About Roxanne Gilbert
From her studio on the south coast of Cornwall, Roxanne Gilbert hand-crafts bold, sculptural jewellery using a combination of traditional techniques and modern technology. Drawing inspiration from her natural surroundings and the ever-changing sky and sea. Her work explores the light, shade, tone and movement of these natural elements - combining smooth, curvilinear shapes and complex clusters of detail. Designed with a focus on composition, her aim is to capture the beauty and rhythm of the coastline where she lives. Roxanne creates one-of-a-kind statement pieces and small collections - balancing form and texture and incorporating colour using gemstones and anodised metals. Her jewellery is highly expressive, yet wearable - conveying a quiet strength and a strong sense of place.
