About Olivia Jane
Each composition within each piece of jewellery is intended to create a balanced and harmonious aesthetic to reflect the harmony that has been desired in art design throughout history.
Olivia is inspired by the research that implies the practice of designing has been influenced by the laws of nature and mathematics. Taking visual inspirations of shape, line, form and colour, from the natural forms she sees in around her by the coast in Cornwall, Olivia works between the instinct and the mathematics within design, to build kinetic pieces of jewellery that envelop and represent the links between Geometry and Nature. She plays around with lines, shapes and forms to a achieve balanced proportionality and visual satisfaction. Olivia also explores the possibilities of movement and kinetic aspects within individual pieces of her jewellery, to add a hidden joy for the wearer.
Working with a mixture of recycled silver and gold, Olivia loves to explore texture, depth and pigment by mixing materials and finishes.
