About Kathryn Hinton
Working her Edinburgh Studio Kathryn Hinton designs and makes contemporary jewellery and silverware that explores geometric surfaces and faceted forms. She utilises the benefits of computer aided design combined with traditional handmaking to create simple stylish pieces that can be used or worn everyday.
The use of new technology, both for design and as a method of making, has shaped the style of Kathryn's work. Using her experience and knowledge Kathryn has created a collection of jewellery and silverware that highlights simple shapes and contemporary surface design.
