We are delighted to be back at Dovecot Studios for the Edinburgh Festival 2023. An exciting lineup of shows has already been announced for both the International and the Fringe festivals so it feels like the festival will be back to it's lively and vibrant self.

Designers

KAROLINA BAINES

Edinburgh-based designer/maker, Karolina Baines views jewellery as sculptures that move with the wearer, Karolina seeks to create engaging visual and tactile experiences that instil deep personal connections, with a deft use of texture, colour and linework.

EVE BALASHOVA

Eve Balashova explores repetition, movement and manipulation of shape and form in her statement jewellery. She combines strict geometry with soft flowing curves to create unique, vibrant and energetic pieces.

ROSINA BEECH

Rosina finds beauty and colour in unusual functional industrial materials and components. In her Luna collection she combines Sterling Silver with Architectural Aluminium to create unique statement pieces of contemporary jewellery.

PETRA BISHAI

Silver & gold jewellery inspired by urban city life

LAURA BOSWELL

Laura Boswell is a printmaker working with linocut, woodblock and traditional Japanese woodblock printing. The prints are focussed on weather, light and ideas of space and scale, printed in multiple transparent layers, evoking a sense of place and time in the
viewer.

RUTH BROWN

Glasgow based jeweller Ruth Brown creates sculptural, geometric work from silver, aluminium and resin, inspired by the distorted and fragmented reflections within the architecture of her urban environment.

SUZANNE CLAIRE

Contemporary jewellery lovingly French knitted and crocheted by hand. Suzanne Claire is a Manchester based jeweller. Outlets include Gill Wing, London, New Ashgate Gallery, Surrey, Oriel Mostyn, Llandudno, Ruthin Craft Centre, Denbighshire, SH Jewellery, Edinburgh, MCDC, Manchester and Victoria Sewart, Plymouth

TANIA CLARKE HALL

Tania Clarke Hall crafts her jewellery from leather.  Her cutting edge designs are versatile and playful yet retain a timeless elegant quality.  Working from her central London studio.

 

HOLLY CLIFFORD

Holly combines traditional skills with modern making techniques, to develop innovative and unusual collections of work, using a combination of resin and silver.
Holly’s inspiration originates from botanic gardens; the beauty of the plant life & the ethereal quality of glasshouses.

BECKY CROW

My work has always had a strongly illustrative leaning. It grows out of drawings and sketches some observational, some imagined.
