Our sixth year at Gallery@Oxo, on the South Bank! We are now well and truly established at this stunning riverside gallery, since our move along the South Bank from the National Theatre. As usual we will be showing our mix of established, International designers and new makers spotted at the point of graduation. Also showing scarves by Green Thomas, leather bags by Steven Harkin and ceramic heads by Susan O'Byrne.

The gallery is only one element of Oxo Tower Wharf and above and around us are design,art and craft shops selling fashion, interiors and fine art as well as restaurants, cafes and bars, including Harvey Nichols OXO Tower Restaurant.It is well worth stepping along the South Bank to see us and find the perfect present.The gallery@oxo is owned and managed by social enterprise Coin Street Community Builders [CSCB].

Green Thomas are design duo Emma Green and Alan Thomas Dibble graduates of the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London.. Their scarves are luxurious, contemporary and colourful, made using the finest merino lambswool, designed and made in Scotland.

Susan O'Byrne

Susan O’Byrne specialises in the making of narrative animal forms and has developed a unique set of making processes which aim to articulate human sensitivity. Based in Glasgow, Susan exhibits widely in the UK, Ireland and abroad.


Designers

JULIE ALLISON

Coburg House Studios, Edinburgh. Silver, gold, wood, transfers, paper and plastics. Julie graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone college of art in 2003. She describes her work as a quirky, narrative collection of hand drawn memories.

MARIANNE ANDERSON

Glasgow. Precious metals including precious and semi-precious stones specialising in rings. Worked with top textile designer Tomoko Hayashi. Outlets include : Aaron Faber, New York; Design Yard, Dublin; Electrum, London; The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh; Flow Gallery, London; Mobilia Gallery, Massachusetts and Orro, Glasgow.

AILLIE ANDERSON

Aillie Anderson creates dynamic, minimal adornment and small scale sculpture using a combination of uniquely textured, precisely scored silver and hand cast jesmonite forms. Born and based in Glasgow, Aillie draws inspiration from the built environment, particularly the architecture and industrial features of the city and explores scale, texture and materials to highlight her appreciation of these overlooked details and reinterpret them into treasured pieces of jewellery and objects.

ALAN ARDIFF

Dublin. Silver and gold. Major international name. Commissions include for "Riverdance"; Eurovision Song Contest & Dublin Regional Authority. In the collection of Billy Connolly, the Danish Embassy & Arthur Anderson. Exhibitions and outlets include Electrum, London and Rubicon Gallery, Dublin. Exhibited in Jewellery Moves, National Museums of Scotland, Edinburgh.

KAROLINA BAINES

Edinburgh-based designer/maker, Karolina Baines views jewellery as sculptures that move with the wearer, Karolina seeks to create engaging visual and tactile experiences that instil deep personal connections, with a deft use of texture, colour and linework.

DONNA BARRY

Welsh born. Trained and based in Edinburgh. Donna works with precious metals, mainly silver, and semi precious stones. Outlets include Byard Gallery, Cambridge, Mobilia Gallery, Boston, Ruthin Craft Centre, Wales, Bircham Gallery, Dundee Contemporary Arts and SH Jewellery, Edinburgh.

ROSINA BEECH

Rosina finds beauty and colour in unusual functional industrial materials and components. In her Luna collection she combines Sterling Silver with Architectural Aluminium to create unique statement pieces of contemporary jewellery.

JESSICA BRIGGS

Sheffield. Silver with 18 and23.5 carat golds. Inthe collection of the Cohn Foundation, USA. Work bought by Will Young, James Nesbitt and Michael Stipe.

Outlets include Kath Libbert - Bradford, @ work and Gill Wing - London,  The Craft Centre and Design Gallery - Leeds, Bluecoat Display Centre - Liverpool, The Biscuit Factory - Newcastle, Ruthin Craft Centre - Wales, Number Five - Cuper.

AGNETA BUGYTE

Handmade jewellery inspired by landscapes of deep silences, rough textures, fragmented hoarse and soft sounds. Wild landscape and raw natural beauty, transmuted into uniqueness of each piece. Made from sterling silver and 18-carat gold.

EMMA CALVERT

 Award winning jeweller Emma Calvert creates bold textile pieces by fusing traditional techniques with sculptural forms and contemporary colours.
