Artist's Statement
Rebecca Wilkes aspires to provide elegant, timeless designs inspired by nature. Rebecca endeavours to make a strong visual impact by combining modern and traditional techniques. Her product range exploits the potential of 3D printing technology that is impacting on the jewellery industry. Each bloom is uniquely created using Computer Aided Design software which is then sent to be printed in a white Nylon material. Taking her inspiration from the natural world; Rebecca creates modern and stylish blooms which, once printed, are then uniquely hand dyed so that no two flowers are the same. Through a magnetic connection, you can build up a collection of flowers which can be interchanged between a silver connector ring or a Nylon Statement neck piece.
Rebecca Wilkes has gone on to win awards from the Association of Contemporary Jewellers and won Silver and Gold at the Goldsmiths Craft and Design Council Awards in February 2017. Rebecca was also named a 'Bright Young Gem' at International Jewellery London, 2016.
