Artist's Statement
Rachel launched her company in 2012 and is recognised internationally as a leading contemporary jeweller and goldsmith. She is professionally trained and has exhibited her work in prestigious institutions, including The Goldsmiths Company, the V & A Museum and the British Museum. Prior to launching her company Rachel worked for one of London’s top fashion houses.
Rachel’s luxury jewellery is handcrafted in her studio overlooking the West Pennine Moors using traditional techniques and the finest materials. Initially each model is sculpted in wax before being cast in precious metal. Rachel works under a magnifying lens using tiny knives to ensure the intricate details are true representations of an animal’s form.
Rachel also combines precious metals with rare stones and pearls to create a range of bespoke items. One of her unique pieces, a trophy, was selected by the British Museum. It was included in their exhibition to celebrate the horse as part of Queen Elizabeth 11 Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.
Rachel’s work is innovative and contemporary and spans all generations. Her bespoke jewellery combines a youthful elegance with a timeless cosmopolitan style.
