JENNIFER WALL

My Work

Since graduating from the Universiry of Brighton in 1996, I have developed a range of hand-raised spectacles and other cases, evening bags, bowls and jewellery in steel, silver, brass and copper.

Every one of my pieces is totally unique, having been individually made from start to finish. I like to explore combinations of metals such as silver with steel, as well as processes of etching and patination to enhance the surfaces and add to the originality of each piece. The raising technique also becomes the surface texture, connecting the object to the maker.

All cases have hand made silver hinges, a sealing layer of micro-crystalline wax and a lining of silk velvet available in a variety of colours. Evening bags and pendants are supplied on a silver chain and earrings are available in pierced, screw or clip fittings. All non-silver earrings have silver backs and findings. The bowls are usually one-off pieces and are also available in stainless steel.
