FARAH QURESHI

Artist's Statement

The inspiration behind the jewellery collections that Farah Qureshi makes comes from a wide range of sources including visits to botanical gardens travels to different places, found objects and visits to galleries and museums.  Looking at the natural world often inspires new pieces of jewellery.  The jewellery that is created has pared down simple forms and is on occasion embellished with accents of colour through incorporating gemstones.  Different combinations of colour such as amethysts with peridot and aquamarines with tiny diamonds create elegant pieces.  Farah creates two new collections each year which are sold through galleries and exhibitions and has taken part in shows such as Sieraad, Inhorgenta, International jewellelry London and the Spring Fair in Birmingham.  Farah has also exhibited at the Mall galleries has had her work shown in an exhibition at the Guildhall art gallery and takes part in pop up exhibitons in places such as Soho and Hoxton.
