Artist's Statement
London based Artist Jeweller Ella Fearon-Low plunders the visual larder of the past to create delicious contemporary treasures in mixed materials. Ella has a passion for making brooches and earrings that are playful, grown up and highly wearable.
“Materials are key to my work, often having been collected over time, awaiting the right project to bring their qualities to the fore. They include brass to balsa, sea worn plastic to gold, and pearls to Lucite. I enjoy the conversation between precious and non-precious components and often position them side-by-side.”
Her designs won Goldsmiths’ Awards in 2018 & 2020 and have featured in Vogue, The Telegraph and the Sunday Times in 2021. Her work has also been exhibited widely including at Munich Jewellery Week, the Goldsmiths Fair, The Scottish Gallery and Collect Art Fair during 2021-22.
